Reviews about Walk-In Clinic at Walmart Alliston by Jack Nathan Health

  • I dropped in Friday afternoon around 1:30 pm Nov 24th. I made the drive to Alliston from Wasaga over 2 hours round trip, for two reasons : no walk in clinic in Wasaga Beach, , AND , I was VERY impressed with the response I got via e-mail when I queried the night before, this clinic at Alliston Walmart. Further to that , upon arrival, both receptionists were polite, courteous, and efficient. Their names unfortunately escape me. I was seated in the waiting room for no more than 10 minutes tops. In fact, not even sufficient time to view the newspaper I had purchased in anticipation off a long, drawn out wait. The doctor I had the privilege of meeting was doctor Steve Soric. He was very knowledgeable, was NOT condescending at all, and took my complaints and ailments seriously. He was a real pleasure to deal with. In short, this office is staffed with top-notch quality individuals from the minute you walk in. I fail to understand the complaints about this place. I've been on this earth 50 years, and this is the best all-around doctor's office I've EVER encountered. I'm a little hesitant posting this as I don't want this little efficient walk-in clinic to be common knowledge, however, I feel the staff should receive the respect they deserve. Excellent job guys by everyone on your team. No Complaints at all - 11/10 !!

  • I was seen in about half an hour and the receptionist and doctor who treated me were both kind and compassionate. The doctor was knowledgeable about my condition and answered the questions I had. It was a very good experience overall and being located in the Wal-Mart I was able to get some shopping done while I waited for my prescription- very convenient!

I feel bad leaving a review because this is only towards one dr specificly. That's why I've reframed but I've had so many numerous bad experiences with (I'm not totally sure her name I get the drs confused but I want to say dr Paola?) the Asian lady doctor it's actually bothering me. She refuses to help you it seems! She is so rude she can not get out of the room fast enough. Last year I was pregnant (19, newly married, first baby, first grandchild, aka no idea what I was doing) I don't have a family dr so I didn't know what to do. The only thing I could think was go to the doctor. I said at the reception and if it was a matter they couldn't do for me um hello tel me no there!? She came in said (abruptly) what's wrong. I tried to explain my situation politely and she cut me off and said "well what do you want me to do about it" while rolling her eyes. SERIOUSLY? I explained I didn't have a family dr and I wasn't sure where to start next so she told me to go get an ultra sound and not to jump on trampolines. The way she said it to me was so degrading and rude like I should of been embarrassed for myself. and I had many complications carrying my daughter that could of been avoided if she even called me back to review my ultrasound. Another time that stands out I was feeling so unwell for weeks but over the course of a week or two I was actually incapable of looking after my daughter it was that bad, thank goodness for my sister in law and mom. I go to the clinic and get this doctor, not to be mean I immediately want to cry because I know how it's going to go. I'm explaining my symptoms barely breathing, chest pains, sore throat, sore ears, headache, fever/aches/chills, congestion, she says it's viral it'll go away.... I had it for 5 weeks already.. I said seriously I can't breathe I know I'm not a dr but it's getting worse and worse I really think I need antibiotics please can you do anything?! She prescribed me a ventilator inhaler... needless to say that night my husband had me rushed to hospital I was coughing so bad I was spitting blood I couldn't breathe my blood pressure went dangerously high I went to the emergency room got straight in got treatment an x ray and I had severe chronic bronchitis, strep throat, sinus infection, and double ear infection. I needed sent home with just under a week of steroids, 10 days of antibiotics, some kind of strong cough syrup I can't remember the name sorry and a different inhaler because the doctor told me the one I was prescribed from her was "completely useless" they wanted to keep me overnight I was so bad but I refused. I told the doctor of my experience at the clinic because he actually asked "why I didn't go to the doctor sooner with a baby at home" I was barely any different when I was in the clinic and I explained what happened he even said he's had a lot of patients come in after she's refused to give them the treatment needed. There is no reason to be so cruel to your patients. If you don't like your job get a new one. I've had many other bad experiences with this doctor. Disappointed she's still working there to be honest noticing all the other bad reviews about her.

Went in. Asian woman Doctor (don't know her name as she didn't tell me) doesn't even shut the door. I guess she was in a hurry?Told her my symptoms. Doesn't say anything, just starts to print out a prescription without even telling what's wrong. I had to ask. Oh yeah it was a chest infection. You would think she would want to explain something to me. I guess not eh? I mean I'm not there for the good of my health am I .... oh wait. It's funny my wife has been there before and had nothing but bad things to say about this place as well. Then I come on here and see 90% of the community ranks this place as a 1 star. I also see they would rather take their sick children on a 40 minute drive just to see someone else. Can this many people be wrong? I wonder when they start to realize that they are the issue. Not just the community making things up. I think it's time we starting looking into opening up another walk-in clinic. I don't require A note but, I just asked for one anyways as I was going to be off. $25.00 cash. I said no thanks and walked out. She already got paid to see me, make me feel like I was wasting her time and now they want cash so there is no trace? This place is terrible. Not even A 1star
